Sawyer’s gaze fell to their hands and she paused before she looked back up at him. “And I feel like we’re going to end up married at some point in our lives instead,” she told him, shrugging. She hadn’t said something so forward and brazen about their future in a long time.
He was quiet for a brief moment and then he shrugged one shoulder as well. “Well, ideally,” he replied simply.
