“Mmhmm,” she nodded, looking over at Owen. “Thanks for letting me borrow this to sleep in,” she said, gesturing to the sweatshirt and he shrugged. “No problem. That room gets cold with the air conditioning on.” Sawyer got a drink of water and then turned more to look at Ryan, expanding on her answer before. “Yeah. Tired. I have a headache.”
He glanced over at her again during her exchange with his brother, though despite the words passing between them, Ryan couldn’t help but feel like she was just grateful to be covering up her arms. She probably wouldn’t want him to see it, if he’d hurt her that much. He nodded slowly, glancing over at Owen briefly before looking back at her. “Me too.”
