He looked over at her and tried at a smile before getting out of the car.

She got out of the car and locked it, going over to the passenger side and looking up at the house. She wondered if the mayor was even awake, or would bother if Ryan was coming in alone or not.

He got out of the car as well and looked over at her heading up to the house. He wasn’t sure how good of an idea all of this was; then again, he wasn’t sure of a lot that was going on recently.
