She bit her lip and squeezed his hand. “We’ll figure it out, Ryan. What if… what if you move in with me?” she said softly. “Then you’re out of your dad’s house and your living situation is less tense. There’s an extra room if we … want to take a step back and focus more on us as individuals rather than us as a couple and I might be able to help you more that way. We could work through stuff instead of pretending it’s not there.”
Ryan paused, and after about a minute he let out a low chuckle and shook his head, raising his gaze to meet hers again. “I’ve… been wanting to ask you that,” he admitted quietly. “But I don’t… know that it’s the right time for us. To be… like that. Living together.”
