She laughed, grinning widely and shaking her head. “But before you die, it’ll be like eleven in the morning,” she teased, “though older people are always awake at like the crack of dawn, so I guess it would make sense for you to go take a nap early.”
She wrinkled up her nose and let out a little laugh, a little embarrassed. “I’ve always been kind of a strange person, really,” she said softly.
“Get up at the crack of dawn, nap at 11, in bed by 4?” he asked. “You know, I could live with that. Granted, I might not get to sleep for a while, but…” he shrugged simply.
“I noticed that,” he agreed with a nod, maybe managing to smile again just a little bit.
