When Logan’s phone buzzed with a message from Ryan he didn’t even open it, just read it on the home screen before sighing, turning off his car and putting the seat back to rest a little bit. He thought about making a quick run to Karen’s really quick and picking up coffee, but he didn’t want to accidentally miss Ryan and make him wait too.
He’d put his headphones into his phone, that way he could blare his music and not disturb Ryan’s dad or anyone else. His eyelids felt a little heavier while he sat there, waiting. It didn’t really bother him to wait though. From what he’d seen on the internet prior he kind of assumed that Ryan had spent the night with Sawyer, so he understood.
Logan had opened his eyes just in time to see Ryan wave, he did as well and set his seat back up to sit straight, rolling down the window to to talk to him. He apologized about the earliness and told Ryan to take the time he needed. At this rate they’d be in Charlotte, and kind of end up bored for a little while.
He headed up to his room, hopefully being quiet enough not to wake his dad. The last thing they needed was for his dad to wake up and keep Ryan from just getting his shit together and getting out. He thought for a moment and then decided a five-minute shower certainly wouldn’t hurt, and Logan would probably appreciate it overall.
It didn’t take him too long to get ready to head out, though he stopped and debated a long moment over whether or not to bring his pills with him. He was being a bit stupid about them, he knew, but he didn’t want people to get even more uppity about him than they already were. Sometimes he felt like his friends cared too much. Too much for his good, at the very least.
Sighing, he shoved them into the main part of his backpack, all the way to the bottom, and zipped the whole thing shut. He slung one strap over his shoulder and picked up his keys, heading downstairs and out to Logan’s car about twenty minutes after he’d gotten home.
