“I’m just glad it’s almost over, anyway,” she added, smiling. “I just hope all of my grades come out okay,” she said, sighing, “but I guess I’ll know I did what I could,” she said, shrugging and looking back out in front of her for a moment.
She grinned and nodded a little. “Yeah. Still not too old. What are you … nineteen? Twenty?” she guessed. She really wasn’t sure at all.
“Yeah, and you’ve always got next year to step it up. Extra credit is a real thing, and you should ask for it,” he nodded. He felt it was important to impart whatever wisdom he could, especially on those individuals that he actually liked and got along with.
“Twenty,” he said, with a gentle incline of his head. He was actually pretty impressed that she’d guessed that, though he supposed she could do basic math based on when he graduated, especially with the knowledge that he’d done an extra senior year.
