Part 2 - Appearance
How do they usually dress?
- Casual: a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, sneakers, zip-up hoodie (on a colder day)
- Gym/Exercise: a loose sleeveless shirt, basketball shorts, running shoes
- Basketball: practice jersey or uniform, court shoes
What do they wear to sleep?
- Alone: pajama bottoms, t-shirt, socks.
- Alone on a hot night: pajama bottoms (or boxers), no shirt, no socks.
- With someone else: t-shirt
or shirtless and boxers (or pajama bottoms, if at his place) or naked, whatever
Do they wear jewelry?
Is there anything about their appearance they wish they could change?
- Ryan has had a few abysmal haircuts
- Currently out-of-shape and feeling insecure about the way that manifest in his physical appearance
- Thinks his ears stick out too much.
How would they look as the opposite sex?
- Quite athletic and on the tall side. Slender in build; narrow through the shoulders and hips, and a touch wider in the waist than (s)he would like. Strong calves. Long fingers and wide palms, but narrow wrists. Long hair. High cheekbones. Narrow feet, and on the longer side of average (maybe a size 9, 9 ½). Straight nose with a slight bulb at the tip, but a little too wide for the narrowness of the face. Rounded, but otherwise pointy chin. Narrow eyes, long and full lashes. Thin lips.
- Female!Ryan would not have the time or the patience for makeup.
What do they smell like? Why (do they wear the scent or does it occur naturally)?
- Soap.
- No matter how thoroughly he showers, the faint scent of salt and sweat will still linger in his hair if he’s spent any time working out recently.
- Ryan doesn’t wear cologne unless he has a very good reason to. Which is pretty much never.
Do they have an accurate mental picture of their appearance (how they see themselves versus how the world sees them)?
- Physically?
- No.
- He doesn’t think of himself as conventionally handsome.
- He doesn’t see himself as attractive, and has only come to accept that other people think so because of an overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary.
- Isn’t exactly insecure about the way he looks, but recognizes in himself things he should be ‘working on’ (especially in terms of athletics, but also aesthetically).
- Thinks he has kind of a dopey smile.
- Thinks he’s a little too skinny/a little too lanky.
- None of this is helped by the fact that he can’t be bothered to put effort into his appearance except to shave.
- Knows he can’t change 99% of his physical appearance and is cool with that.
