He sighed and glanced his way. He hesitated and then nodded once. “Yeah, I will be,” he informed him, pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant. “Yeah, I know,” he said softly, deciding not to point out that from what he was aware of, Sawyer’s parents spent quite a bit of time out of town over the summer anyway. It was something he was sure Ryan undoubtedly knew, and he didn’t want to get into a fight with him over something that stupid either. “I guess at least Dad has a job that keeps him out of the house.”
“Good,” he nodded. He knew if Owen needed anything that he’d speak up about it—well, he hoped—but if his brother thought he was going to be alright, then so did Ryan. He nodded slowly and shrugged a shoulder. “Yeah, I guess that’s true. Though, he’s been working weird hours lately, he’s like always home. At least when I am.”
