“Yeah. I bet you’ll get to it,” he said with a crooked smile, pulling away from the stop sign. He would nod slowly. “That makes sense,” he agreed. “I guess for some reason I thought she might be home for the summer. Stupid, really, since she has a place of her own,” he rolled his eyes at his own stupidity. “Uh, yeah, I’m fine. I just lost a young patient a little while back. Hit me pretty hard.”

“I don’t really get how she can do it,” he said with a shrug. “Like, never go home. But yeah, she seems to just be staying out there.” If she did go home to Tree Hill, he at the very least was not aware of it. He’d do it too if he could. Of course Sawyer would be so lucky. “Oh. Um,” he paused, not really sure what to say to that. “S-sorry. That sounds hard.” Ryan really wouldn’t know anything about that; this wasn’t his world.
