He nodded slowly and glanced over at him. “Trying to get yourself back into shape for the season, I take it?” he asked, turning a corner and stopping at a stop light. He hoped that his brother had better luck playing next season, that was for sure. “So … you and Sawyer are alright though, right?” he asked, looking sideways at him. His answer didn’t really give him the vote of confidence on that front. “My life’s fine,” he shrugged. “Getting past some stuff.”
“That’s the plan,” he confirmed. “I mean, it would be nice to see some actual court time next season,” he said with a sigh. He probably could have been back at it sooner than he had been, but with things as hectic as they’d gotten, he hadn’t felt ready. “Yeah,” he nodded slowly. “We’re okay. Just haven’t made the trip out to Raleigh recently.” He looked over at his brother’s equally uninspiring answer. “What stuff?” he asked curiously. “You’re okay, right?”
