Crash Course in Polite Conversations || Ryan&Owen

The days home at Tree Hill had already started to blend together, as they always did when one slipped into a routine. Ryan spent most of his days split between holing up in his room and working out either at the university gym (even if it was a bit of a drive away) or some sort of basketball court. His only real summer goal was getting back in shape, something that was often hindered by the desire to sit around and do absolutely nothing. That, and avoid his father, which was much easier said than done while living in his house.

On the social side of things, he’d drifted far off the map. Dropping in on Sawyer wasn’t as convenient from another town, he had no idea whether Logan was still at school or in Tree Hill again, and as far as he knew Nate could have gone off on another music thing for the summer. He didn’t find himself thinking too much about those sorts of things, at least not in any sort of significant amount. If anyone wanted to get in touch with him, they knew how.

Today, however, he had an errand to run, one that brought him to the hospital his brother worked at. That thought hadn’t really occurred to him, and he’d long ago stopped keeping track of his brother’s schedule anyway. Owen could be here, in the middle of a shift, at the beginning or end of one, or not here at all. Ryan had no idea.

Once he got there he parked and made his way inside, intent on finding the pharmacy. All things considered, he wasn’t exactly crazy about wandering these halls, and it wasn’t long before he found himself getting a bit turned around. He stopped by a directory sign on the wall, trying to map out a path before starting off again in the right direction.
